How matching works

How payouts are matched to deposits

Matching runs whenever a payout is sent or your bank feed syncs. Anything the rules can't explain lands in review with a reason.

  1. Exact match

    Same reference, same amount.

    Every payout carries its ID into the bank descriptor. When a deposit shows up with that reference and the exact amount, it's matched on the spot.

    Allow for small bank fees.

    Set how much a deposit can differ before it needs a person. Differences inside your tolerance are matched and booked to the account you choose.

  4. Returns

    Returned payouts stay traceable.

    If a bank rejects an ACH payout, the return is linked to the original and the payout is sent again. The new deposit matches the resend, and the return stays on record.
